UNIO will provide super-fast and ultra-secure broadband connectivity services for mobile and stationary applications on the entire globe – no matter on land, in the sea and in the air.

• Unio itself wants to raise a double-digit million amount next year. This is intended to finance the first two test satellites; the launch is planned for 2025. From 2027 onwards, 350 satellites are to be launched every year, at which point commercial operations will begin. The company wants to put more than 1,000 satellites into low Earth orbit by the end of the decade at the latest

• UNIO is now planning a system with initially 400 satellites, each weighing 300 to 500 kilos, to build an optical communication network based on lasers - for Europe, later also worldwide.
• We will launch a first demonstration mission to prove that all three main pillars of our magic mission work together flawlessly: The launcher Spectrum, the satellites, software and payloads, the laser link system with ground stations and quantum style security.
• Constellation roll out - From 2026, manufacturing and launch of UNIO.
• UNIO intends to advance the development and market launch of the UNIO ‘bridge’ product.
• This product will potentially deliver seamless connectivity for connected vehicles transitioning between 5G and satellite connectivity, delivering ‘always-on’ connectivity for all mobile use cases. The pre-seed round was co-led by the space and technology group OHB SE and the European technology company IABG. The round also enjoyed strong participation from SES and Reflex Aerospace (joint venture foundation partners along with Mynaric and Isar Aerospace), who increased their investment in the company.
