Notes |
- Follow-up to KLEO Connect?
- Rivada Space Networks launches new low earth orbit constellation at Satellite 2022, 2022-03-21.
- Announced that it has issued its request for proposals for 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites in November 2022.
- Signed a partnership agreement with SpeQtral, an emerging leader in quantum-secure communications systems.
- In February 2023, Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems has been awarded a $2.4 billion contract to design, build, and deploy 288 low-earth orbit satellites for Rivada Space Networks. As part of the contract, Terran Orbital will also develop 12 “spare” satellites to produce a total of 300 spacecraft.
- Rivada will use Spacetime, Aalyria’s network orchestration technology, in its planned low-Earth orbit communications constellation. Spacetime is designed to ensure reliable, secure communications by continuously analyzing possible data paths.
- As of 2023-10-26, Terran Orbital is still waiting for milestone Rivada Space constellation payment. Rivada Space has paid Terran Orbital more than $5 million to launch the constellation program and has paid all amounts due to date.
- Terran Orbital cut its revenue guidance for 2023 nearly in half as Rivada Space Networks has not made a milestone payment for its constellation deal. Terran Orbital announced its third quarter results in November, cutting its revenue guidance for 2023 from $250 million to “in excess” of $130 million. Rivada was expected to make milestone payments in the second half of this year, but Terran Orbital recently disclosed the payment is delayed, Via Satellite, 2023-11-14.
- Artel LLC a provider of secure network communication services to U.S. government agencies, has been awarded a Commercial Satellite Communications Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (p-LEO) contract from the U.S. Space Force and is partnering with Rivada Space Networks to provide the next generation network critical to support U.S. Government communications.
- The unique architecture of Rivada’s constellation, called the OuterNET™, consists of 600 LEO satellites that are flying in 24 orbital planes, which are connected by 2400 intersatellite links.
- Terran Orbital says Rivada is up to date on invoices after undisclosed payment, SpaceNews, 2024-01-02.
